Purpose:

To provide a practical, integrated system for thinking and communicating about the "real world" understanding of interpersonal and organizational relationships and behaviors. This is accomplished through the exploration of mental models and a four-level perspective: Events, Patterns, Systems and Visions. Participants will leave this workshop with the ability to think systemically and apply a set of systems thinking tools to complex problems. This workshop will change the way participants view the world.

Have completed the reading and Pre-work assignments.

Trainer

Dr. Dick Thompson is a frequent speaker for business and professional groups around the world on topics related to leadership, team development, systems and high performance. He has also published numerous articles and training manuals on these topics. He is the author of The CommunicationWheel™: A Resource Book, Jung's Function-Attitudes Explained., Introduction to the CommunicationWheel and Introduction to FIRO Element B in Organizations.

Psychological type theory is an integral part of Dr. Thompson’s work and ongoing research. The CommunicationWheel™ is just one of many useful tools he has developed to facilitate the use of type in organizations. In 1996, he published the first book devoted to an in-depth exploration of the function-attitudes in C.G. Jung’s theory. He serves as the president of the Georgia Association of Psychological Type and is a recipient of the Mary McCaulley Lifetime Achievement Award for work with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®.
